Before you rent a sled

Ask the attendant where sledding is permitted, what the fee covers, how long you can use the board and whether supervision is provided. Prices and rules can change. Avoid a slope that is closed, crowded or outside the operator's designated area.

Basic safety

  • Follow the attendant's instructions and wait until the landing area is clear.
  • Keep children under direct adult supervision and choose a slope suited to their ability.
  • Do not sled head-first or walk up through the path of other riders.
  • Stop if the sand, visibility or crowding makes the activity unsafe.

Wear sun protection, bring water and check current conditions. The archival dune photo does not show a sledding activity or current on-site service.
