Plan the visit

Bau Trang is outside central Mui Ne, so allow time for the drive and confirm the route and access point before setting out. The white dunes and Bau Sen lake are the main landscape features; water levels, vegetation and the appearance of the area change with season and weather.

Getting around and activities

Ask local providers about current access, vehicle routes, passenger limits, prices and what each activity includes. Do not drive a vehicle onto restricted areas or assume that an activity is available every day. If you are not using a guided service, confirm where visitors may walk and park.

Heat and safety

Bring drinking water, sun protection and suitable footwear. Sand can become hot, and open areas offer little shade. Keep a safe distance from moving vehicles, follow signs and instructions, and avoid climbing unstable or restricted slopes.
