Where the group sleeps decides the program — not the activities
We handle bookings for corporate groups heading to NovaWorld. The same pattern comes up again and again: the organizer plans the activities and gala carefully, then leaves accommodation for last — and runs into trouble, because room counts don't match how the team is split, or the group ends up spread across three locations and loses an hour each time just regrouping.
Four things that need to sit close together
A corporate program runs smoothly when these four things don't force people to travel far between them: the meeting space, the activity area, where the group sleeps, and the dinner venue. NovaWorld has all four inside the same resort — the biggest advantage over piecing together several separate locations.
Room assignments: usually handled last, but should come first
This is the part we can help with the most, since it's what we do every day. A few things worth knowing before locking in your schedule:
- A whole villa fits team splits better than hotel rooms. A 4-bedroom villa sleeps up to 8 people — exactly one team-building group. A team staying under one roof makes evening team meetings and morning regrouping much faster.
- Count by team, not by headcount. A group of 30 split into 4 teams needs 4 villas, not 15 double rooms. This approach usually works out cheaper and is simpler to run.
- Ask about ground-floor bedrooms ahead of time. Every group has a few people who have trouble with stairs. Know it in advance and you can plan around it; find out at check-in and you can't.
- Book early for weekends and holidays. A large group booking close to the date will almost certainly end up split across several distant clusters.
Of our current rental units, 11 of 18 are 4-bedroom villas, each sleeping up to 8 guests. That means a group of 30–40 people fits neatly into 4–5 villas in the same cluster, as long as you book early enough.
Activities that work for a group
Paintball
A better fit for team building than most activities, since it forces the group to assign roles, stay in communication, and make quick decisions under pressure. The quietest person in the meeting room often turns out to lead well on the field. Gear and protective equipment are provided.
Beach activities
The 16-hectare beach park has enough room for large-group games. Schedule these for early morning or late afternoon — the midday sun here is intense and wears the group out fast.
A gala by the sea
The beach club seats up to 1,200 with performance-grade sound and lighting already in place. A ready-made venue for a closing dinner without building a stage from scratch.
A workable 3-day, 2-night schedule
| Time | Activity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 — afternoon | Arrival, check in by team | Check in by villa cluster, not individual keys per person |
| Day 1 — evening | Dinner, team meeting at the villa | The villa's living room works as the meeting space — no need to book a separate meeting room |
| Day 2 — morning | Outdoor activities or paintball | Schedule early to avoid the harsh midday sun |
| Day 2 — afternoon | Rest at the villa, pool time | This break matters — skip it and the group will be worn out for the evening gala |
| Day 2 — evening | Gala at the beach club | Book ahead, especially on weekends |
| Day 3 — morning | Free time, check-out | Check out by cluster to keep things simple |
Promotional materials cite one sub-zone with a "capacity of up to 500,000 people." That figure is hard to take at face value as a headcount for a single sub-zone — it's more likely a square-meter area figure mistakenly copied as a person count.
We're flagging it so you're aware of it, but we don't use it as a basis for planning. When booking for a group, ask the resort operator directly for the actual capacity of each area.
At what group size should we book villas instead of hotel rooms?
Roughly 16 people and up, i.e. four teams of eight. Below that, a hotel is still convenient. Above that, splitting by villa fits team divisions better and is usually cheaper.
Do we need to book a separate meeting room?
Usually not for a group under 40 people running an activity-focused program — a villa's living room is enough for an evening team meeting. A separate room is only needed for a formal presentation session with a projector.
How far ahead should we book?
A large group traveling on a weekend or holiday should book at least a few weeks ahead. Book close to the date and the group will most likely end up split across several distant clusters, costing time regrouping for every activity.
What's the best season to run this?
February through April is the best stretch. June through August sees seaweed wash ashore, affecting beach activities, but land-based games, the water park, and the gala aren't affected.
