Renting a Villa at NovaWorld Phan Thiet: Checks Before You Pay

Why verify a rental before paying?

A villa may be advertised by its owner, a property manager or an agent. A page name, attractive photos or a “direct owner” claim alone does not show who is authorised to take a booking. Verify the specific property, dates and payment recipient before sending a deposit.

Before you transfer money

1. Identify the property and contact. Ask for the property address or unit reference, recent photos or video, and the name of the person confirming the booking. A video call can help compare the space, but it is only one check.
2. Get the terms in writing. Confirm check-in and check-out dates, guest limit, total price, extra charges, deposit, payment schedule, cancellation terms and included services.
3. Check the payment recipient. Ask why the account holder differs from the contracting party. Never share an OTP, password or card security details; keep messages and payment records.
4. Keep a booking confirmation. It should state the property, dates, amount received and a contact for changes or problems.

When to pause and check further

An unusually low price, pressure to pay immediately, inconsistent property details, refusal to provide written terms or repeated changes to the payment account are reasons to verify independently. One warning sign alone does not prove fraud; check through a separate, trusted channel before deciding.
