Two detailed hour-by-hour itineraries — built to avoid the harshest sun and cut down on backtracking in a single day.

The most common mistake: trying to cram all four parks into one day. The resort spans over 1,000 hectaresgetting between places takes real time. These two itineraries already account for that.

3 days, 2 nights itinerary

Keep the two days above and add one extra day in the middle, chosen to fit your group:

👨‍👩‍👦
Families with young kids
Give the whole day to Dino Park — the dinosaur park with Vietnam's largest T-rex model.
A golfer in the group
Morning on the 36-hole PGA complex, afternoon at the beach for everyone else.
🏖️
Prioritizing rest
An unhurried day: beach in the morning, pool at midday, spa in the afternoon, shopping street at night.
🏔️
Want a change of scenery
Head up to the highlands via the coast-to-mountain route — now within the same province, Lam Dong.
Three rules for building your schedule

1. Avoid outdoor activities from 11am to 3pm. The sun in Phan Thiet is intense — use this window for the water park, a covered venue, or a midday rest.

2. One main activity per day. Cramming two parks into one day is a recipe for exhaustion without actually enjoying either.

3. Check opening hours ahead of time. Each attraction runs on its own schedule, which changes by season and day of the week.

2025 administrative update

As of July 1, 2025, Binh Thuan province merged into Lam Dong province (Resolution 202/2025/QH15). NovaWorld Phan Thiet now falls under Lam Dong province.

Three fixed time windows — build everything else around them

Itineraries usually fall apart because people plan around what they want to do instead of what can only be done in a specific window. There are exactly three such windows here:

🌊
Swimming: before 10am or after 4pm
Midday sun is too harsh, and the beach has little natural shade.
🌇
Sunset: around 5:30pm – 6:30pm
The best light of the day. Don't let it overlap with dinner.
🎡
Theme parks: follow their posted hours
Each one runs its own schedule, and some only open in the evening — ask ahead, don't assume.

Everything else — meals, check-in, a midday rest, shopping for souvenirs — is flexible and best slotted into the gaps, especially the 11am–3pm window, which isn't usable for outdoor activities anyway.

A 2-day trip: what you have to let go of

Two days and one night sounds like enough, but in practice you only get one full afternoon and one full morning — the rest is travel, check-in, and check-out.

Keep
One theme park + sunset + one morning at the beach
This combination gives the fullest experience within a short window.
Skip
Trying to hit every park
Squeezing three or four parks into two days means you only skim each one — and everyone ends up exhausted.

If you do have three days and two nights, what's worth adding is not another park but one unhurried morning: head to the Tien Thanh fishing village to watch the boats come in, or simply sleep in and take breakfast slow.

🌿
Traveling June – August

This is seaweed season, when it washes ashore and swimming isn't ideal. Amenities inside the resort — the water park, the theme parks, the pool — aren't affected, so you just need to shift your focus, not your dates. Details in our guide to the best time to visit.

3 days, 2 nights: what to add, and what not to

With an extra day, the instinct is usually to add another park. That's often the weakest choice — because what a 2-day trip lacks isn't more destinations, it's pacing.

How you spend day threeActual result
Add another theme park⚠️ The whole group gets more tired; the parks start blurring together in memory
An unhurried morning — sleep in, slow breakfast, the beach✅ This is usually what people remember longest
A half-day out — the fishing village, a market, a local eatery✅ Changes the pace entirely, gives the trip a different layer
Split the parks across several shorter sessions✅ Avoids the crash that comes from playing flat out
🌅
A specific idea for day three

Get up early and head to the Tien Thanh fishing village to watch the boats come ashore, buy fresh seafood, and have a local eatery cook it for lunch. It costs you one early wake-up and almost nothing extra — but it's the one part of the trip where you actually see this place running for real, not a version staged for visitors.

Four things worth confirming before you go

Opening hours for every park on your list
They're not all the same, and some close early or only run seasonally.
Single tickets or a combo package
Decide before you reach the counter. See our guide to ticket prices and combos.
The internal shuttle service
Whether it runs and how often — this directly affects whether your schedule is actually workable.
Check-in and check-out times
Can they hold your bags before check-in, can you check out late. These two things decide how much of your first and last day you actually get to use.

How much time gets lost on the first and last day

This is the part people underestimate the most, and it explains why so many "2 days 1 night" trips feel rushed.

ItemTime costHow to get it back
Travel from Ho Chi Minh CityAbout 2 hours each way on the expresswayLeave early to arrive before the harsh sun
Waiting for check-inCan be several hours if you arrive earlyAsk about bag storage ahead of time — drop your bags and start your day immediately
Check-out on the last dayUsually cuts the morning shortAsk about late check-out, or check out early and store your bags to keep going
Getting around inside the resortAdds up meaningfully across such a large complexGroup activities by area; ask about the shuttle routes
🎒
The two most valuable questions to ask when booking

"If I arrive early, can you hold my bags?" and "Is late check-out available, and how much does it cost?"

These two questions typically recover almost a full half-day on a 2-day trip — more than any other scheduling trick, and usually at no extra cost.

Frequently asked questions

Is 2 days 1 night enough for NovaWorld Phan Thiet?

It's enough for two main activities: day 1 at the water park with dinner in the food district, day 2 an early swim followed by Circus Land in the afternoon before heading home.

What should I do on a third day?

Depends on your group: families with young kids should give the whole day to Dino Park; a group with a golfer should hit the PGA courses in the morning; if you're prioritizing rest, spend an unhurried day at the beach, the pool, and the spa.

What time of day should I avoid?

Roughly 11am–3pm is when the sun is harshest. Use that window for a midday rest, the water park, or a covered venue.

Should I try to visit two parks in one day?

Not recommended. The resort spans over 1,000 hectares, so getting between areas takes real time — stick to one main destination per day.
