Pick the right ride, for the right group

Nine water activities, but not every one suits every group.

Staring at a price list of nine services, most guests pick wrong — not because of the price, but because they choose something that suits someone else, not their own group. This article breaks it down by the four most common types of guests at Bikini Beach: which to pick, and which to skip.

Families with young kids

Go for: SUP & Kayak (300,000₫/60-minute slot) — slow-paced, easy to control, older kids can sit on the same board as a parent. Baby Shark (600,000₫/ride, 2 guests) is gentle too, low speed, good for kids not yet used to moving water.

Skip: Jet Ski, Flyboard, parasailing — all three demand physical stamina and usually carry age limits; ask the counter directly before signing a child up. The Ke Ga lighthouse boat trip is doable but fairly long (a full round trip), and young kids can get seasick partway through.

If your family is staying in a villa with several bedrooms, do SUP in the morning, rest at the villa over lunch, and come back in the afternoon — no need to cram everything into one session.

Couples

Go for: Parasailing, double flight (1,500,000₫) — fly together, take in the whole bay from above, the most memorable stretch of time among all nine activities. Flyboard, double ride (1,300,000₫/10 minutes) is another good pick if you both want a light challenge together.

Skip: Banana boat — needs a minimum of 3 guests to run, so two people would have to join a group of strangers, losing the sense of privacy.

Groups chasing speed

Go for: Jet Ski (1,000,000₫/10 minutes, with instruction) and Efoil & Esurf (1,200,000₫/45 minutes, with a dedicated 1-on-1 instructor) — these two give the clearest sense of speed, and there's enough time in a full session to take turns if you're a larger group. Banana boat also works for groups of 3 or more, at 300,000₫ per person — the cheapest of the nine.

Worth adding: Book the flycam package (500,000₫) too — a larger group doing several activities usually gets more value from a full video than from a handful of loose photos.

First-timers, not confident swimmers

Go for: The Ke Ga lighthouse boat trip (5,000,000₫/boat, up to 8 guests) — you stay on the boat, no need to get in the water, and you still get out to sea and take in the view. Split evenly across a group of 6–8, it comes out to under 700,000₫ per person.

Skip: Efoil, Esurf, Flyboard — even with a 1-on-1 instructor, all three require basic swimming ability and balance in the water.
